The Fall of 2011 has been a busy and exciting time at the Hilton Lexington Downtown. Our hotel has welcomed several new members to the team! Martin A. Rothchild has joined the team as the General Manager of the Hilton Lexington Downtown Hotel. Martin brings 30 years of prior hospitality experience, including his most recent assignment at the Hyatt Deerfield in Deerfield, Illinois, where he served as general manager. He has also held general manager positions at Embassy Suites in Tampa, Charleston, and Lexington. Also new to the team is John Gennuso who is a well known member of the hospitality and Lexington community. John & Martin look forward to working with the hotel team and clients!
Our Lexington hotel was honored to have been selected official hotel for The Alltech National Horse Show. The event offered the opportunity to savor the rich flavors that epitomize the excitement and grace of Kentucky’s equestrian heritage. To commemorate the event the Hilton served a signature Alltech National Horse Show Cocktail, and Alltech Angus Filet Mignon in its popular dining venues, Triangle Grille and Bigg Blue Martini. Alltech’s Town Branch Bourbon, the official spirit of the horse show, was the main ingredient in the signature cocktail, dubbed “Branch Water.” The drink also incorporates Triple Sec, Pink Lemonade and Sweet & Sour Mix. The filet, served with Roasted Garlic Yukon Mashed Potatoes, Asparagus and Sheltowee Farms Wild Mushroom Saute, comes from cattle raised on Alltech feed products.
